I like this place, so I want to find a way to set up a "channel within the channel" for the sincere posters. If we could coordinate filters, that'd be a good start (it would wash the retards out). we can graft our own security features onto a format. Essentially, what we need is metadata that will help us filter bot threads and low-effort posts. /pol/ is extremely easy to bait. I believe at least half of the replies to shitty bait threads (virtually the entire catalog most of the time anymore) are legitimately stupid social media addicted NPCs. I mean FFS if those stupid tweets get thousands of likes or whatever on twitter why wouldn't they attract 100 fuckwits here to throw (you)s at them.
It doesn't even take that many bots or shills to churn out the same dozen threads all day every day and random retards and reddit refugees do the rest. To conclude, sure, shills and glowies play a role, but there's a lot of retards and autists "on our side". I can't count how many stupid obvious bait threads I've seen that get thousands of pissed off responses. This website has some cool threads or comfy convos once in a while, but it doesn't exactly attract the best of our movement

To be added, some bots images
@jeremyjeremyjeremy I started thinking of ways of monetizing, not really looking to becoming rich about it, just so people can show grattitude, and it not being an expense for the person who generously gives. Its the same concept Im working the technicalities for this webpage. Its much easier in the anglosphere, but in argentina the repressive, abusive, and hostile social enviroment makes any capital gain, even by tips or donations, being 80% to the state. So here crypto is the way, at least for now.
The page in this forum about getting resources is an analysis of it. I noticed among many things, of those relevant to the anglosphere, a certain lack of options to transfer money without banks, whom I dont trust due to their historial, specially here in argentina. Think of massive stealings in 1989 and 2001, and now in a more silent manner, in 2020. Maybe I wasnt so exhaustive as I should have been. On a better note, there are quite a lot of crowdfunding options, so I recommend you, if you feel it, to use them, maybe some wealthy anons feel generous, and maybe even contact you to try and buy and monetice the software. You are always free to decide what to do, whether to make it a software free of charge, to make it charitably, or to make money out of it. If you choose the latter, making money, needs to think a lot of the complete circuit of said funds, as a matter of making an "electric circuit" in the word of silent weapons for you know, as a matter of covering yourself from inflation and other dangers. Charity is not to be understimated though, as it is a founding block of social capital, in the sense, of making a community. It can also be easily monetized, sometimes infinitely more than commerce, due to the simple reasons that donations mean you keep what you produced, enhancing your personal wealth. Also, while commerce is taxed, sometimes to hell and back, meaning its sometimes not politically lucrative, thats is, having a counter synergy with getting into politics, charity has a shit ton of social synergies, meaning in some countries, if you make a formaly recognized charity, and move honourably, and charitably, you can get all the benefits, commercial, taxable, social, political, etc... maybe even academic, while still living pretty comfilly, and helping society. Thats my case, in a small scale, which I intend to upgrade.
You can also always contact "patreons of the charitable", and so make contacts. They may be helpful,or not, maybe even parasitical, so getting to know their true nature is key in every and any human deal. This can be known by how they live, and how they have lived in the past.
Currently I only use the built-in filter...
Hey!
Like I've said in the thread, I've wanted to create an AI process to filter posts by "information content". It would require quite an extensive foray into Computational Linguistics, and an investment of spare time, as well -- but it's something I've been meaning to do for a while, so no problem for me. I'm putting the idea here for the rest of you in case you want to implement it yourselves.
It could be an extension which filters posts (the vast majority of them) for you on 4chan, it could be a seperate app with its own feed of "quality posts", or it could interface with the 4chan website in a much deeper way, like the may 4chan browser extensions that are out there. It could be adapted for multiple other websites.
I'll post back with more details if I think of any. By the way, I absolutely agree with you.
